My name is Dominic and welcome to my blog, detailing my exploits as an MA student in UCC’s school of English. This blog is designed to allow me to write on just about any topic, at least to begin with, without feeling constrained by a pre-set idea. While later posts should hopefully follow a similar theme, this blog should allow me the freedom to explore different ideas and different topics to naturally get to a common subject rather than having one from the outset.

Who knows how long the different topics idea will last or how quickly I will focus in on one topic, but at least for now convergence will remain un-converged.

As of writing this updated section, my research focus is now on detective fiction and the interactivity between reader and narrative, looking at how adaptations heighten the interactivity through mediums like video games. As an about me section, traditionally this would include personal info but I am somewhat uncomfortable over-sharing info. Instead, I will include pictures of our two dogs.
